Pooh Bear Cake with Fresh Mango Whipped Cream

Look at below pics!!!
This time is an successful attempt!
My dear mummy re-baked another cake after her failed attempt.
This time is definitely a BIG success based on another recipe.

The finished product after baking
~ the smiling face of my fav Pooh Bear! ~

The cake is sliced in the middle, to fill up with fresh mango whipped cream that Mummy made herself from scratch! The cream is perfect with natural sweet aroma of the fresh mango. This is her 1st attempt making the whipped cream too. Next time, will add fresh mango slices into the cake, to perfect the look & taste!

such a pretty & cute cake - we really cant bear to cut & eat it!

Light up a candle !! Sing happy birthday song...

Haa just a rehearsal for me to practise my sing along song & blowing candle!.. for my upcoming celebration!

But the cake is quite small though yummy, we finished it up with my mama, gong-gong, godma Flo & mummy after our dinner. My mummy going to perfect the cake as she needs to present a pretty one to my Daddy this coming sat, to celebrate his birthday in advance since he is flying off to Rockhampton on Sun evening. Time is running out.. and she still needs to perfect a Pooh bear shaped Mango pudding tomor night for sat celebration.

Pooh Cake Making Attempt

Look at the pretty Pooh cake Mummy has attempted!
She is using the cream puff recipe for this try, the cake turns out too heavy for this recipe, the inside not even thoroughly baked too. Very moist inside! Hence a failed attempt though it looks pretty. Time is running out.. she is now baking her 2nd attempt based on different recipe, hopefully the 2nd round the cake will be a successful. She even prepared to do the mango whip cream to be decorated in the middle of the cake. She got the last try tomor to perfect the cake, in order to present a pretty & edible cake for Daddy on Sat!

Posing with my New Dora Munchkin Water Bottle

As my old Thermos drinking bottle is spoilt, Mummy got me a new one last week. This time, it is Munchkin with pretty Dora pic all over & it is so much cheaper than my former one. Hope I will learn to take good care of it and avoid dropping it too much. Usually I will use this bottle to drink my juice as it is easy to disassemble the parts for washing.

Sharing some of my happy poses using the bottle this morning.

Yummy Beef Slices with Fried Udon

Yesterday, my parents bought me a slice of air-flown Australia beef steak (ribeye) fm Isetan Scotts supermarket. A slice of the beef which is about slightly over 100gm, costs Daddy about $9 plus.

Initally, Mummy wants to cook me beef meaty-patties for my dinner. This is her 1st attempt cooking the beef as she doesn't eat beef due to her religion. Even though this is the case, she does not restrict Daddy nor me to eat beef as she believes beef is good red meat for my tiny body's growth. I suppose this is my very 1st time tasting the beef too.

Instead of meaty patties, Mummy changes her mind and sliced the beef into thin slices and pan fried with some veggies and udon for my yummy dinner. Guess my reaction? I love the yummy meal and finished all up.. bringing a big smile to Mummy's.

Recipe for Yummy Beef Slices With Fried Udon
1) Slice the beef steak into several thin slices
(she used about 1/3 of the beef slice, so I can get to eat the balance portion tomor again)
2) Marinates the slices with cornflour, tiny bit of salt, 1-2 dash of black pepper, chopped garlic
3) Heat the frying pan, add 1 tbsp of butter
4) Add in the beef slices and pan fried for 3 mins, then add the mixed veggies

5) Heat up a pot of water in a saucepan, cook some udon noodles for 2 mins. Scoop the noodles in to a bowl of cold water. This is to make the noodles chewy and ala dent.

6) Add the noodles to the frying pan with beef slices and veggies, mix well & add a dash of white pepper & some hot water to simmer. Beware! You will hear sizzling sounds.. & by now you can smell the yummy beef. After a min, scoop up the dish and it is ready to be served!!!

Voila! Bon Appetite!
(remember to cut the slices & udon noodles into smaller pcs for easy chewing)

Week 7 at JG, Term 4 | Kitty Fair at Taka

Mummy's loots at Hello Kitty Fair, Taka!
Her finds are more than that.. we even spotted a nice lavandar color bathrobe in last pc, sz S, $29.90. I showed Daddy and he stacked it somewhere...by the time her basket reached the counter, her items are getting lesser and lesser. I was running amok in the fair, enjoying my shopping for good kitty stuffs too.

My Daddy is finally back from his work trip on last Wed night! I'm so pleased to see him the next day morning when I awoke. I been sticking close to him since his return as though I already sensed that he is going away to Rockhampton soon on 3rd Nov again till 14th Nov.

Today, my Daddy also joined us & he is with me during my class while poor Mummy waited for me outside the classroom. She only get to join in during my snacktime and music time. I learnt 'Mouse' & letter M during class today. I did an artwork today and Mummy is clueless too as it is kept by my teachers & return to us after the end of the term. After my milk feed, I dozed off happily while my parents enjoyed their Pepper Lunch at Isetan Scotts. I awoke after an hour nap.. happily shopping around in the children dept esp Hello Kitty section. Mummy suddenly remembered that there is a Hello Kitty fair at Taka. So off we went together for Kitty hunting!

Besides, I turn 23rd month old today... next month I'll be hitting my big '2' yrs old. My parents are totally clueless on the preparation for my upcoming celebration. This time round, it may be just small scale party inviting our close friends and relatives. Mummy hopes to invite some of my toddler friends over to join in the fun. With such little time, she is not sure if she is up for the planning as she hopes to put her heart to bake or doing something special for my upcoming celebration. Or maybe just a family day by having our very 1st ride on the Singapore Flyer on my special day! Yah.. that sounds good too!

This year, the theme of my upcoming celebration will be Hello Kitty theme & I do like the cute pretty kitty mascot! Think this year my birthday cake will be likely from Polar.

P/S: I've indeed outgrown my Crocs maryjane shoes.. luckily I got a new pair of SKR shoes in sz 8, a gift fm my godparents slightly after their departure. But the new shoes fit me so well.. think I need another pair soon. Hope this pair can last me another 2 months we hope.

Godma Flo saves the day again!

Just a short post to keep Daddy well informed.

.. I slept from last night 8pm all the way till this morn, 7am and nudged Mummy for milk milk. She made 150ml milk but I left till 50ml cant finish. We lazed in bed for another 30 mins, Mummy then turned and look at me that to tell me that today we no school.

I then started chanting "school, SCHOOL". I must enjoy so much going to school as my eyes sparkle with joy. Though Mummy is very tired & weak, looking at my joy she cant stand the heart to reject me. She checked me again, to ensure I not running any fever, no running nose as I cannot go to school unwell, infecting my other classmates. After many interval checks, she gives me the OK signal for school, next she called Godma Flo's help again to accompany me during my class. My Mummy is still feeling unwell, coughing & cant sit in the class & putting my classmates at risk.

Godma Flo met us at Bishan station, hopping onto the same train as us. Accordingly Godma, I did behaved good during class with her company. Mummy been waiting for us outside the classroom & anxiously as she worried I may cry for her or makes things diffcult for Godma. I & Godma even posed during our class photo session. We had lunch at Mcdonald Forum as out there raining heavily and Godma even sent us back home together.

Once again, we need to give a BIG HUGS to dear GODMA FLO for saving the DAY again!

P/S: I was now at Mama's place tonight again & I promise to be good and sleep there tonight. Hope I keep my promise to Mummy! My milk intake also have been reduced a lot too.. I cant even seem to finish 150ml or even 100ml of milk, always leaving some behind in bottle. Hope this is just a passing phrase again!

Down with Fever Virus!

Day 1, 14th Oct..
Mummy woke up with a heavy head, body aching all over & sore throat. She turned over and look at her hp & time is already 9.10am. Usually I''m the 1st one to wake her up for my milk. I was lying face down beside her. She nudged me and realised my chest and head was burning hot. She immediately woke me up but I still couldn't pull myself up. She telephoned Mama to come over to help out. We went to see our Doc Lee shortly.. actually both Mummy & I were down with fever, temp 38.7 & 38.8 degree. My Mama & Gong-Gong came over again in evening 7pm, to fetch me to their place to stay overnight so Mummy can rest. But around 4am in the morning the next day, they brought me to comfort of my home as I been crying whole night, refusing to stay at their place. They went home then to rest...

Day 2, 15th Oct..
around 6 plus in morning, Mummy measured my temp and realised it shook up to 39.8. She immediately feed me my medic and almost broke down, on the verge to rush me to KK. She cant get hold of Daddy and so she called Godma Flo for advice. My dear Godma Flo even rushed down shortly to check on us. By 10am plus, my fever is back to 38 degree while Mummy's turn to feel feverish. Godma even came back in evening with dinner for us, accompanied us to the clinic again as we were both declared running high fever, 39.7 & 39.8 degree. Poor me.. I din even drank any of my milk and food during the 1st 2 days. I sipped a bit of juice and water only as my throat pained too.

Day 3, 16th Oct..
Our fever finally gone down..
I started to ask for milk and start to drink & eat a bit...
Mummy started to cough and throat very pain. Most of the time, she is still the main caregiver to me, preparing my meals while she no appetite to eat, just munch some bread and water. Mama came by later morn for 2.5 hrs and then evening together with Gong Gong, visited us for another 1 hr.

Day 4, 17th Oct...
I started to drink as much though each feed is like 150ml & definitely felt much better. However, I been making Mummy upset by being naughty. She is on the verge of losing her voice when I dun listen to her reasonings. In the end, my buttock got slapped by her few times today. Today, nobody visits us.. and we are home alone like 2 poor lil souls. Today is Gong-Gong birthday! But we cant join in the celebration. Mummy took me to Mos Burger for her dinner, a sweet corn soup and buns. I behaved badly then & on the way, I keep crying to carry. Mummy already no strength and yet I keep on whinning. She asked me not to suck my thumb since my hands touched the floor earlier on but I refused. I really whinned loudly during the road crossing and till our home. Shame ! Shame!

Day 5, 18th Oct...
Initially, Mummy thought of bringing me out somwhere to meet Godma Flo to breathe some fresh air. But I keep sneezing in the morn & this got her worried that I may got the flu bug from her. Mummy also started feeling weak & giddy, been coughing badly too. Mama & Gong Gong went kai kai and there is no one can help to bbsit me. Luckily, kind Godma came over with lunch for Mummy & help to entertain me the rest of the afternoon till evening when she tucked me to bed...

We wish.. we wish we've a speedy recovery soon!
Many thanks to my dear Godma Flo's help.

P/S: Looks like tomor we are not going to my JG class in our current state. We are going to miss it since tomor is a photo taking session. Sigh! Guess the next graduation photo this time, will lack of my cheeky look.

5th Lesson, Term 4 | Playdate with Kieran

Above is the artwork I've done during class today..
It is created by using the plastic dough to achieve this work
In fact, this is MORE OF MUMMY's work than mine..

95% is done by her this time as I've a hard time kneading & rolling the dough in balls..

Today, I learnt letter 'I' for INSECT, 昆虫 (kun chong).
.. Bee, Butterfly, Spider, Housefly, Dragonfly, Grasshopper belongs to insect family

My happy snapshot - busy playing the kitchen set & doing the pretend washing

Our outdoor attraction this week is Dotting colors on the papers.
I was using the marker, dotting happily on the paper with my classmate.

After my class, as usual I drank 210ml milk. We are rushing home as Aunty Lynn & Kieran Gor Gor are coming over our place.

Throughout the train ride, I keep playing and 'chatting' with Mummy. After we reached Sembawang, it still drizzled & Mummy took out my raincover to put over my stroller, before crossing over the 2 roads to reach our block. In the midst of walking, I still chirping happily to her.. Once we reached our doorstep, Mummy removed my canopy & raincover & REALISED I already dozed off.
So Unbelievable, right?
Even Mummy carried me over to their bed, I still continue fast asleep.

Not long after that, our guests arrived, the handsome outgoing Kieran Gor Gor immediately warmed up instantly upon entering to our house. Maybe he saw so many of my toys waiting for him to play. My dear Mummy found him truly very sweet lil guy, he keep asking her "mei mei? sleeping? wat time is she going to wake up?". Few times, he even knocked on our bedroom door, to wake me up & waiting anxiously to play together.

I finally woke up slightly past 4pm..
I simply happy to see a lil friend waiting to play with me...
Kieran Gor Gor keeping passing me my toys to play.. so sweet of him!
He also kicks ball very well.. maybe the next upcoming Soccer King.
It is a pity to see them leave slightly around 4.40pm..
What a short playtime we had!

Nvm, Aunty Lynn promises to try and bring him over the next time soon.
Cya again then!

2 lil cute toddies having friendly drinking water competition !

"Kieran Gor Gor, can I stop drinking now?? " says Hayley

"Alright, come n play ball with me then!" says Kieran

P/S: Mummy also prepared our toddies dinners using the soup base she did last night. She cooked porridge using the soup base, adding some slices of pork (shoulder butt), cherry tomatos, organic bb cai sim. I really enjoyed my yummy dinner a lot and ate 1-1/4 bowl of it (my kiddie sz bowl). It is very sweet indeed.. hee even Mummy want to eat my share. Looks like she will try to do more of the soup base next round then.

Yummy Healthy Soup Base

Below pics are showing Mummy's 1st attempt to cook a big pot of soup base, freezing it for upcoming week's use. Usually, she will cook the veggie soup base daily for my meals & this took her 1/2 hr to 1hr to cook the base, depends on the time she has.

This evening around 6.30pm, she prepared the ingredients and dump these into a pot of hot boiling water (around 3L). The soup is being simmered for another 2-1/2 hr over a low heat. After dishing out the veggie(s)/bone, she realised that only 2 pack of soup can be freezed for later use & a portion has been kept aside for tomor use.

Hope tomor I will like the yummy soup when she uses it for my meal.
I'm also a very soupy person, love drinking lot of yummy soup my mummy cooks. I really takes after her in this area as we are BOTH SOUP LOVER unlike my Daddy!

.:: Mummy's thought ::.
I can't seem to forget how Hayley looks such fragil & small when she makes her 1st appearance. Looking at her now esp her sleeping form (taking up a lot of space on our bed), I'm proud to see her growing well & active like any of the average tots. Silently, I made a promise to her by continuing cooking yummy & healthy food (if time permitted), hoping to see my lil darling grows stronger and healthier as each day pass.

A Day Shopping at Jusco, JB

We had a fun shopping trip at BIG shopping mall, Jusco @ JB!
.. we went along with the company of Mama, Gu-Gong & Kim-Po by their car again.

It is a pleasant trip & lots of shopping to see.
In fact more like window shopping & REAL shopping only started while browsing through their products in their supermarket. Jusco Supermart carries a wide variety of organic products.

Below are some pics of Mummy's loots.

Her organic loots (pic from Left to Right)
1) Organic Fig 100% Juice (RM 22.70) - Good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium (helping to regulate blood pressure), this is healthy drink for DADDY's.

2) Organic Light Soy Sauce (RM9.90) - Using certified organic soy bean, sea salt, koji, filter water (no preservatives, no MSG, wheat free), perfect for enhancing my meals (no need to use adult's which has MSG)

3) Organic Strawberry Apple Sauce (RM15.00) - perfect for complement my cereal, pancakes/ plain yogurt & even cake baking purposes & the sauce is not SWEET at all (I've tasted it together with my cereal and I love it!)

4) Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (RM17.90)- heard this is good drinking to cleanse our inner body if taken regularly & can be used for other purposes like using it to repel insects & even cleaning purposes. Do not worry, this is not for me BUT for MUMMY's own use.

Besides, she also bought the Healthy Times Cereals (she bought 2 boxes only as the price is slightly S$1 cheaper as compared to SG's) & my fav Healthy Times Food Jars (more variety flavours can be found there) and some organic veggies (cherry tomatos, baby cai xin).

Sharing some of my cheeky pics below.

After our heavy lunch, I took this chance to 'roam' around.. & caught sitting on a bench flipping through a leaflet. A rare sight .. as I can hardly sit still.

One of my happy poses, caught sitting the kiddy car ride (but no coin inserted..)

Look at my cheeky grin! So happy to get my hands on this ride!

The adults' Yummy dinner being served in one of their restaurant, Sushi King. I ate my mummy's steam egg, 1/4 of Yakult, some miso soup and some spoonful of rice despite a bottle of Healthy Times Food Jar.

Voila! A pic of me, sitting on the high chair during the dinnertime.

Alright!! My happy smiling pose before we end this post!

By the time we reached home around ten plus, I was too tired & 'stoned'.. within mins after my milk though too tired to finish all of it, I very fast asleep.... lalala! into my slumberland.

What a fun day we had!! Thanks to Gu-Gong & Kim-Po for bringing us there.
