2nd Make-Up Class at JG - Chinese PlayClub

This morning, I went to attend another make-up class at JG Forum.
This time is totally 2 hrs Chinese PlayClub.
During class today, I learnt number '4', (sì).

Surprising, the class is very small as there are only 4 students (1 is for trial and another one is me, for make-up). But the teachers to students ratio is 3 : 4 (consists my same teacher Zhang Mei, with 2 assistant teachers). The lesson is much better than the English PlayClub. But we realised that weekday PlayClub, we need to queue for our snacks during snack time.

Hands on doing one of the projects, with teacher's guidance.

A close-up of my project that I'm doing all by myself, using many different col markers, to dab the colors for the four birds

During the outdoor play, I were playing the toy scooter ride on happily

"DING DONG", pressing the door-bell of the playhouse

Voila!!! 2 projects that I've done today..
Project A : Coloring 4 birds who are sitting on a nest (I did it all by myself)
Project B : 4 stalks of flowers (though I used most of mummy's help to do this as I getting lazy by the time I did this after project A)

Fun Bubbles Play-Time

Last night, I've a fun time playing bubbles with dearest Daddy!
I love chasing after the bubbles, keep using finger to poke them too.

I keep saying, "PoP, PoP, PoP!!".. like one of the songs in Wheels on the Bus.

The song goes like this..
... the BUBBLES on the Bus, go 'POP, POP, POP" !

Sharing my fun video below!
Watch how excited I can go by playing the bubbles.

My Pretend-Play Being Captured on Video

One fine day..
I awoke from my afternoon nap...
no usual banging on the door, to alert my parent(s) ..
But Mummy heard some noise inside the bedroom,

she sneaked into the room and caught me playing pretend-play with my bear bear(s) happily.

Sharing my videos below on my pretend play, captured by Cheeky Mummy.

1) Video #1
I started off, showing my 'dance steps' to my toy bears, clapping, singing Hello song though this video may be long to capture all my action.

2) Video #2
The next interesting part being captured onto this video..
You will hear me saying, 'Hot", "cold" when I tested the milk, feeding my toy bears.
* The bottle which I used it for milk bottle, is actually Mummy's body lotion from Body Shop.

3) Video #3
Haa... you will catch me 'forcing' my 2 toy bears, doing hugging, kissing action!

Hope you will enjoy my funny actions in the videos as much as we've fun creating these!

Chez Mon Amie, Vernice! Encore!

So nice for Uncle Tim & Aunty Elaine to invite us over their place on last Sunday late afternoon. I'm so happy to meet up my buddy, Vernice.

It has been a long while since our last playdate. Vernice has grown to be more girlie and prettier. Besides, she has also achieved another milestone, she is now officially 'diaper-free".. thanks to her mummy's constant training over a period like within 2 weeks (otherwise, pls correct us). I also wish.. wish to be like her soon, so can help my parents save $$ on diapers.

Her place got so many toys and books, I'm constantly amazed & distracted by all these and nearly didn't want to go home when time for us to say 'good-bye'. Looks forwards to our next playdate soon. Sharing our happy pics and video below. ^_^

I'm wowed by her many cute stuff toys..
I'm holding the big and soft Tigger plush toy in above pic.

My happy video, playing her spinning Bilibo.
It is indeeed very fun!

Oh no! Vernice is getting away!!!

My turn to be distracted .. by her vacumn cleaner

Our Pretty Pose!!!!
Not easy to get us stay still for this cheesy pose! By the way, noticed our identical hairdo?? This is created by Aunty Elaine, we look so kawaii (but Mummy feels that my hairdo reminds her of Chun Li, one of the street fighters)

Two TV addicts!!

Vernice helping to finish my puffy stars while I started to get sleepy from too much TV, there goes my infamous thumb sucking pose!

My 3rd Lesson at JG | 2nd Term

Today, the theme for my class is Green (lú sè). So all of us (including Daddy & Mummy) are dressed in green col. Above pic taken at Macdonald restaurant @ Forum Mall while Daddy having his breakfast.

A Snapshot ~ enjoying my yummy snacks during the snack time..
I were given some raisin bread, 2 cubes of cheese, biscuits and some juice. Now I able to hold and drink from cup better each day !

A Snapshot ~ playing with my classmate, Natalie.
We are moving to & fro, picking the 'fruits', 'teapot', 'veggies' etc onto our table, for our pretend picnic play

Voila!!
This is my artwork of today !
What does it resemble??? Our teachers told us above is a green color tortoise. I used many different shades of green crepe paper to paste onto the 'shell', to make it look prettier.

P/S: After class, I drank 210ml milk which is considered my lunch. I dozed off shortly, allowing my parents to enjoy their yummy lunch in comfort at Sushi Teh restaurant at Paragon. After their lunch, I woke shortly and we went to Planet Traveller Shop as Daddy bought some stuff for his business travel. Then, we proceed to visit my buddy's place.

Sautéed Minced Pork With Tofu

Well... I've been sharing some of the same home cook dishes as what my parents are eating these days. Nearly most of the time, my meals are still prepared using natural seasoning like the fresh veggies, chicken bone, dry white silver fish or dry scallop to make my food taste yummy.

I like to sample my parents' home cook food which Mummy avoid adding too much seasoning into the dishes. I still does not adapt well to outside food as those contain too much artifical 'taste' for my likening. Recently, I also adopt love for 'french fries", Daddy will drain away the excess oil by pressing it between the napkins before passing it for me to munch.

Another new dish to introduce & yet simple to whip up at home.

1) Cook the plain porridge, add 2 or 3 dry scallop to enhance the taste

2) Minced Pork (ours is seasoned, using little bit seasame oil, cornflour and some dk soya sauce). * No need to season the meat as ours happen to be the balance mixture from previous dish.

3) Heat the pan, add some olive oil
4) Add minced garlic, stir fry
5) Added the minced pork & finely cut tomatoes, stir fry for 3 min

6) Scoop the mixture into a plate, add some finely cut silken tofu into it
7) Steam the mixture for 8-10 min

Step 6 - scooping the mixture & mixing with tofu

Step 7 - Steam it for 8-10 min

The Finish Product - Yummy!

my bowl of porridge with the freshly cook dish .. Yummy!
This dish also goes well with rice.

Mummy's share!

Make-Up Class @ JG

This morning, I've a make-up class which is a totally 2hr English PlayClub.

The class structure is slightly different from my usual class, Bilingual PlayClub. The usual 2 classrooms we have, is combined to a big classroom. We've 13 students today for the class. During our snack time, we were made to queue up for teachers to scoop the snacks onto my plate. Upon taking the plate, I went to find a seat for myself, to enjoy the food.

We learnt "Green" col today and below pic of the artwork that I've done in class. The theme of my sunday class is also 'Green' col. So I may need to do the same artwork again. At least, I can get to practise because oour teachers are going to keep our artwork & pass back to us when we complete the term.

After my class, I drank my 210ml milk which is considered my lunch and napped all the way home till 4.20pm. Below pic is showing my wakey look after my nap, drinking my milk while I enjoy my "Wheels on the BUS" dvd show.

Little White 'Indian"

1 lil, 2 lil, 3 lil indian.... 10 the LITTLE WHITE 'INDIAN" Girl'
(Catch my new look! created by my cheeky Daddy who dabbed the powder onto my face)

Some updates on me since I'm approaching 2 years old in 2 month time.

1) Left Handed ???
If you notice closely, you will see that I prefer to use my use hand to eat, hold and write/draw. I been having this preference since young & everyone (relatives/teachers) keep asking my parents if I'm left handed. The strange fact is that both my dear parents are RIGHTIE. But Mummy's family members (mama, jiu jiu, gu-gong) and Daddy's side only got 2nd aunt, are left handed. Maybe I will inherit this gene from them too. Shall observe over another period of time if I will still persist in using my left hand.

2) Speech Improvement
I've widen my vocab ever since started on my JG classes.
But I'm more Ang Mo type as I speak more English than Mandarin. I can speak some Hokkien too in 'yes' & 'no'. Although, I can't speak in sentences or phrases yet. I can speak frequently like 2 - 3 words now.

English : I can even say, "Auntie", "Uncle", "Hold Please", "Take", "Pull" "Bit kuit" for biscuit, "Cer-reel" (cereal), "Juice", "Button", "Ban-ann" (banana), "Jackfruit", "Plum", "Daddy" (i/o Papa), Mummy (i/o Ma-ma), Thank you" (i/o thanks) etc.

Mandarin : Try catching me say '
' in Mandarin, I sounds like those 'ABCs' speaking the chinese. I can even say my name in Chinese too but my chinese vocab is limited, not as much as English.

French
: I can say 'Ouvert' which means 'Open" for English. The funny thing is that I keep saying it instead 'open' whenever I want someone to open something for me. Moreover, no one actually teach me this. Maybe later on, Mummy will teach me some basic French.

Japanese
: Well if Daddy still remember his Japanese, I like him to teach me this too.

Till today, I still yet to master well the skills of self-feeding and not even on toilet training. Hope I can achieve that soon.

My Pretty Pressie fm Australia

Last Saturday...
we received a surprise parcel from my godparents who are now residing in Australia. In the parcel, contained gifts for Mummy (a card, a tee & a bracelet).

Of course, not forgetting my gifts as well.
We are so thrilled to see my name embossed on my pretty gifts!

Thank you, Godpapa Gunny, Godma San & lil Jerral for the useful gifts!

Proudly sharing pics of my pretty gifts!

My first PIGGY coin bank, time for me to start saving my $$$

My pretty drinking bottle with my name on it.
Will use it when I start my school next year, I'm sure other classmates will not make the mistake of taking mine since it got my name. ^_^

Letter E - My Ellie the Elephant

Today is my 2nd lesson of term 4, Julia Gabriel.
I've learnt letter E for Ellie the Elephant and it sounds 'e..li..f..nt'.
(dà xiàng) in chinese, means elephant

Today our project, is painting grey col for elephant.
I began by pouring few drops of white paint onto the art paper provided.
Next, I add one spoon of black paint onto the same paper.
Then I started off using my left hand to mix both paint, to create grey col & smear it to paint the elephant. Soon after, I realised using one hand is too slow in smearing, so I used both hands.

I completed the artwork by pasting the sticker eyes for my elephant, so he can 'see'. But I pasted the 'eyes' at the bottom instead on the top part. But teacher Pix told us that it is alright since I've my own way of doing my 'art'. Anyway, I also pasted another 'eye' sticker beside the 1st one, which totally aligned.

Mummy is 100% proud of me today.
Why?? Because I totally make no fuss at all when I dirtied both hands, 100% did the artwork all by myself. Moreover, I was wearing my white dress today and I took extra care not to dirty it too. Once I've completed my artwork, I then calmly hurried off to washroom to clean my hands.

What do you think of my artwork?
I think my Elephant is bending his head, peeking at me!

Krangi Farm Visit | 18 Sept '08

Happy Birthday to you ..
Happy Birthday to
Mummy Dearest!

To make her actual day more meaningful and fun, we went to visit some of Krangi farms together with Godma Flo's accompany. On that morn, we took mrt to reach Krangi station, then took the small yellow bus with the signage showing "Krangi Express", to reach our destination. For the bus fare, we paid only $2/px for the ride which is totally affordable & brought us just outside the farms. Totally no fuss and hassle.. the only drawback is the frequency of the bus is 1 hr interval.

Bollywood Veggies Pte Ltd
Our 1st stop is Bollywood, $2/px for the entrance of the farm visit. It is a hot day indeed and we sweat a lot under the hot sun but we have lots of fun exploring the big farm. Take a look at our happy pics below. We ended our tour, having our lunch at their Poison Ivy Bistro. The pricing of the food there is slightly ex but a totally new experience for us. I love their aloe vera drink.. totally fresh produce from their farm & I helped myself to 3/4 of the drink from mommy's cup. This is a place definitely worth visiting.

Our bus stamping, "Krangi Express", onto Godma & Mummy's hands

A bit grouchy look during the bus ride to reach Bollywood

More close up of me, holding the rail tightly during the ride

Finally!! We are at Bollywood.. I dun want to take pic here as the weather is too hot for my eyes.

Starting our excursion & Godma is reading the map to lead the way

Godma & Mummy's happy face, posing under the hot sun!

A close up of pretty me.. tsk tsk

I starting to get hot and sweaty after a while under the hot sun

Look behind me!! Wow.. so many big jackfruits hanging from the tree

Posing beside the jackfruit tree..
Look at the big jackfruits!! Yummy!

Another pose with mummy

My mummy's cheery pose but I too hot to pose

The Jungle Girl

Hey.. I seem to lost my way.

Anyone out there .. to help me??

I spotted my fav fruit, bananas on the tree.. high up there!

There.. the bananas still very green but what a big brunch!

haa... munching my banana happily after being rescued from the 'jungle'.

Look at the sign board! Pls "touch me not"...

"Touch me not" plant whose leaves all shivered up the moment you touch them..

Mummy - Posing in front of the aloe vera plantation

Our next stop is HAY DAIRIES
It is quite quiet as by the time we reached there is around one plus in the afternoon. We've missed the milking session held in the morn. We visited the barn to look at the goats and baby goats. But the moment I stepped in and saw so many goats staring at me.... I'm scared out of my wits and cling to my mummy asking her to bring me out. I simply don't want to stay inside the barn with the animals. After a while, I fell asleep after resting in my stroller outside the barn. So mummy and godma can go back in again with me napping outside the barn. They even try and drank the goat milk & bought food to feed the goats.

Posing near the extrance of the barn

Captured my whinning expression with fear when I saw the goats

Mummy feeding the goats while I napped away outside the barn

P/S: Many thanks to Godma Flo for the company and the lunch treat! ^_^
Sorry to hear that you fell sick the next day after our trip. Hope you've a speedy recovery soon.
