Hello everyone...

Finally some back date posting on my well-being.
My dearest mummy has been busy working ..
Otherwise, addicted to her baking hobby during her little free time she has these day, to de-stress.

Ok today posting is about the Parents' Day which is held in my kindergarten around end May (the week before the school holidays started). My parents are invited to my school to see my work being showcased and have a brief talk with my teachers on my performance. Lil Hebe tagged along too. Luckily she did not fuss much.

Oh that day, we have a potluck lunch and my Mummy baked some cuppies for school.

I'm given a glass to decorate it to use as a pencil holder or vase

Just a random photo taken last month..

I brought my mei mei to downstairs for a stroll.
See, I do love her a lot and dote on her dearly.
She is getting more and more responsive to me.. will laugh along with me when I burst out laughing or singing.

I will also protect her.. by keeping my eyes on her whenever Mummy instructed me as she needs to leave the room to prepare milk for her. She is very mobile now as she can crawl very fast within seconds..

My 2nd Trip to Universal Studio

Anyone out there??
Guess it has been a long long while since my last update. My Mummy has been kept busy with her work and taking care of our needs, hence no time to be near PC to post our pretty pics and updates.

This is a long backdated post.
An outing with my buddy & her family to Universal Studio on 17th April. The week just before I'm down with chicken pox. That time round, my daddy has managed to get the tickets at a great price from his company. We've extra tickets and glad that Vernice & family are free to join us that day. It been quite a long while since my last meet up with her. Both of us have grown a lot too.

Happy Mommy Day aka Mama Day

Good news!!!
I've finally recovered from chicken pox since last week.

Just to be safe, Mummy asked Mama to bring me see Dr Lee last Monday morn before I resume my school. of course, Doc has given me green light to go ahead.. now hoping my 'scarring' will soon disappear. I've quite a no of outbreak all over my body.

Only about 3 days ago in school, Mama learnt that actually I kena chicken pox from my best friend aka my classmate. Her father actually got the chicken pox virus and passed on the virus to her daughter. Ive been playing very closely with her, hence in turn got the virus. Funny thing is that her mom is too careless to notice it on her daughter. After I got infected, my friend still goes to school for another few more days in following week after my Mummy called and informed my school.

While I was having my chicken pox outbreak, my parents have a hard time taking care of me and to ensure Hebe stayed far from me as she is still too young to catch this virus. Every night, my parents will take turn to visit Hebe, and one of them will rush back to take care of me so that Mama can rest and have her dinner with Gong Gong. Very rush and tiring routine esp for Mummy who been working late over the past 2 week due to increased workload.

Sharing below outing that I can finally go out, to celebrate Mama's day and Mummy's day with them at Sembawang Shopping center. Below is a simple dinner celebration we had that day!

Chicken Pox!!!

Bad News to ANNOUNCE!!!!

One Spot started to appear above my lip on Wed evening...
Another 2 spots appear on my back on Fri evening..
Yesterday morning, a small spots appear on my back again

This time, Mummy had a good look and realised it resembles "chicken pox" as she had it when she was in Primary Five last time.

Quickly, we together with Lil Hebe, headed to our clinic downstairs .. and Doc has confirmed what Mummy's fear. Unfortunately, Daddy yet to have chicken pox and he does not have vaccine on that too. Worse still, lil Hebe just recovered from a bad cough finally!! & she is still too young and hopefully she won't catch my virus!!!! Otherwise, our main caregiver(s) including my parents will have double the bad time taking care of the sickly ones.

Quickly, they packed my stuff and arranged for me to shift to Mama's place to stay. I'm given one week MC to stay & confined at home. Next week, going for a review again to check my recovery. However, Mummy suspected that I need at least 2 week rest before I fully recovered.

However by today, I keep asking Mama to bring me home.. so early in the morning, they brought me home. Luckily Hebe woke up early and already cleaned up when I home... so we brought her to Ah Ma's place, hopefully my virus won't get to pass it to her. Poor Daddy!! He is not so lucky to stay away from me.. coz I keep pester him to play with me. Mummy is praying hard that Daddy & Lil Hebe are going to stay alright!!

My 1st Outing to Science Centre

Hello friends...
Been a long time since my last posting..
Mummy been very busy at work and night time busy attending to our needs. Basically, she lacked of time and it seems to run too fast for her. How she wished time freezes whenever she is with us. Does your working mommy also faced the same problem as mine?

Back to our posting on this topic.
On 10 April, Daddy and Mummy brought Hebe and I to visit Science Ctr. Mummy has been racking her brain .. searching for a fun & indoor (must have air-con) to bring us. An idea finally dawned on her. That is Science Center and been ages since her last visit. Hebe is slowly recovering from her cough and we better do not wish to expose her to hot & wet weather we've been facing lately.

Anyway, the entrance fee to the center is affordable!! Definitely worth every cents during our visit. Will recommend this fun place to our friends! Science Center has changed a lot since my parents' last visit. It has many fun spots for me to explore and I love the main attraction -the Big Fun Water Play. There is even shower facilities for kids and adults. We really spent many hours exploring the fun. Even lil Hebe enjoyed her stay there. Shall we consider signing up for annual membership? But Daddy found the distance is slightly far from our home. Hee.

My 1st Kite Flying Experience

Last Friday..
it is a public holidays and it a GOOD Friday!

My 1st Aunt & family invited us over to her place to celebrate my cousins' birthday. Since we will be at Sengkang.. an idea struck Daddy's.

Before arriving my aunt's place, Daddy brought us to buy some kites..
to let me have a try in flying kite...HIGH up in the SKY!!
It is so fun and my kite, Doreamo, really did fly very high in the sky too.

Our 1st Visit to Universal Studio

Universal Studio is latest happening spot in Singapore...
and Mummy's company is offering their employees' chance to buy the entrance tickets at lower price under restricted condition. However, Mummy hoping to bring me to see and got us the tickets on 1st April evening.

One of the condition is that we can go into the park from 7pm to 11pm.
There are only 3 rides opened to the employees that day.
- the Mummy : roller coaster and which of course we do not have the heart to try
- 4D Shrek : full of adverture that we three wholesome have a go at it
- Mini roller coaster: looks thrilling and I am tempted to try but it is closed when we trying to queue for the ride

By the time we reached the park, it is already 8plus in the evening and missed the Waterworld performance show. We immediately went for our dinner since we are given $20 food voucher to spend. Think we left the place about 11.30pm. I was dead tired and dozed off and sleep during the car ride back.. and slept till the next morning. Hee...

My daily school life

Last Friday, Mummy was on leave..
and I wanted her to bring me to school & she did...
When my class ended, she brought along Hebe and Mama to fetch me.
Then we head to SSC for lunch and allow me to play at the big play park for a while.

Normally, Mama is the one who will bring and fetch me from school.. So far, I enjoying going to my new school.

A visit to Hay Dairy Farm

Last Sunday is a very fruitful day for us..
As Daddy has a mahjong session with his friends that late morn.

Mummy decided to bring us the lil ones out for a mini outing on her own.
She decided to venture to Hay Dairy which is near to our home but is still about 25 min drive away. Along our way, we called up Mama to check if she liked to join us and yes she came along with us. This is my 2nd visit to the farm but is a first for Hebe & Mama's.

Again, I & Hebe did sit quietly during the car ride while Mummy concentrating on the road. The visit this time is much crowded than last time's. However, this time we unable to go in to see the goats at close encounter but only outside. A disappointment though and good thing is that we like their goat milk esp the choco flavour. We bought 5 small bottles home to drink.

By the time we reach home, it was already half past one.
Next we are expecting Gu-gong and Kim-po to arrive to visit us. After their visit, Mummy drove us out again and this time with Ah Ma to fetch Daddy @ Telok Blangah for dinner at Vivio City. A well-spent day we had!

Fun at Prawn Fishing!

On 21st Feb, a very hot late afternoon ..

Daddy took us to visit Bottle Tree Park at Yishun..
During our outing, we spotted people fishing for PRAWNS!!
Hee very interesting and out of fun, Daddy decided to fork out $$ for 1 hour of fishing to try our luck... a hour of fishing costs us $14.

During the 1st 30 mins, we waited in vain and crowded getting bigger and that is the time, the staff threw in more prawns into the tiny pond. Then our luck starts rolling and of course with A Ma's help and patience in waiting for the prawn to come up to our bait. Hee.. for the last remaining 30 mins, we managed to catch 4 prawns. Not bad for 1st attempt!!

Finally, time to share and post our Pretty CNY pics taken on 14 Feb (the 1st day of CNY).

This year, Daddy and Mummy needed more time to dress up the 2 lil princess aka Hebe and me. This is Hebe's 1st CNY too. Since we are girls.. of course need more time to doll up ourselves! Mummy already got our matching pink cny costumes through online while she having confinement. Now finally we wear it out!

As a yearly ritual before we headed out to do our cny visiting, Daddy will take the effort to take a nice shot of our family photo.

Our Holiday Trip - Hong Kong Day 5

Here we come to the end of our holidays trip..
Our last day in Hong Kong.. as the next day we were taking morning flight back to Singapore. On our last day/night, we had a relaxing shopping with Aunty Yanyan's guidance.

She brought us to Prince Edward's district to visit some malls and took us to buy their local delights. Even treated us and our friends to a steam boat dinner in that evening. Not only that, she accompany our daddy back to ladies street to exchange his luggage sz. All in all.. she has been a great host during our trip. Not to mention the gifts she has got for us as well.

Our Holiday Trip - Hong Kong Day 4

Day 4...
We started our journey in the late morning on our own..
We took the MTR to Admiralty station and then took bus to visit the one of popular attractions in Hong Kong, the Peak. However, the weather that day was too hazy and we unable to see much of the view when we reached there. Moreover, it was very cold that day too and so we happily rushed to shop in the mall to avoid the cold.

After that, we took the cable tram down to below to meet up Mummy's friend, Aunty YanYan. They have known each other in France when Mummy went to D.E.L.F to study french. It is great to catch up with her this time in our trip. Mummy had not been seeing her for about 4 years.

Aunty YanYan brought us to a famous Chinese restaurant to try out roasted goose and then show us some of popular spots for shopping. We past by H&M and to Mummy's delight's, the store is having lots of Hello Kitty merchandise! Of course, we spent about 2 hours just shopping in the store.

Next, Aunty YanYan also bought us to Ladies street market and that is where Mummy bought her big Hello Kitty Luggage!!! It was really a steal coz a cabin sz luggage like that cost like $400 in SGP sanrio store.

Our Holiday Trip - Hong Kong Day 3

And our 3rd day of the trip is a free and relax trip..

We've fun taking Hong Kong's public transport, the MTR and the public bus.
We spent our late morning in Stanley Market and then proceed to Times Square for shopping and looking out for yummy food. However, we ended up having dinner in their local Mcdonald as we were beat tired by early evening. So we headed back to hotel for a good and early rest.

Stanley Market is a street market in Stanley on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The street is a typical example of a traditional old open-air market in Hong Kong and has since become a major tourist attraction, well known for its bargains. Many of the stalls or shops in Stanley Market sell Hong Kong souvenirs as well as clothing - particularly silk garments and traditional Chinese dress - toys, ornaments, luggage, souvenirs, and Chinese arts and crafts. The market grew out of Chek Chu Tsuen, a village nearby.

There are several small Chinese restaurants in the marketplace and a small old Dai pai dong, one of the few left in Hong Kong. There are a variety of restaurants along the seafront too.

The nearby Stanley Main Street offers many larger restaurants, both Western and Chinese, and is a popular spot to see and be seen on the weekends.

Our Holiday Trip - Hong Kong Day 2

Now we come to exciting part of DAY 2!!!
My parents brought me to visit Disneyland Hong Kong!!

My 1st visit and I simply adore the rides..& Parade.
Of course not forgetting to take photo with Mickey Mascots upon entering the theme park.

Voila!! A happy day well spent though my parents are totally exhausted.. also happened that day, my poor daddy kept having terrible headaches during daytime and poor mummy got to run with me to queue for those fun rides!

Our Holiday Trip - Hong Kong Day 1

OK.... Finally Mummy managed to start posting pics taken during our last holidays trip in Hong Kong last month (20 Jan - 25 jan 2010). Overall, this trip is very exhausting to both my poor parents coz sometimes, I will threw tantrum during this trip esp when I missed my pm nap. All my sleeping & eating pattern all gone haywire as well.

Let the pics start rolling then! We travel by Jetstar Asia as we bought the promo tickets about 3 months back. The flight was real early and I managed to wake up in time. We travelled together with Uncle Kenneth, Aunty Jerynn and her sister.

Looking real Happy and pleased during the plane flight.. though this is a budget airplane with no TV to watch, I spent most of the time sleeping thru the whole journey.

January Birthday Celebration!

Been a long time since our last posting...
Coz Mummy been busy ever since she fell sick last month ..
Barely recovered, and we were off to our Hong Kong trip..
A week back from our trip, she is officially back to work on 2nd Feb'10.
Ever since, she is back to work.. that keeps her busy to be away from PC to blog..
Coz night time, we really keep her and Daddy real busy.

So here back to continue our last post..
After my taekwando class on 3 Jan, we met up Godma(s) and Andy Kok Kok to celebrate his and Godma ET's birthday whose falls during the month of January.

Free Trial Class at ACT 3 International

Thanks to bb Hebe's..
Because of her, we've received a OCBC leaflet informing us about the free trial class that I can go since Hebe is too young for such classes. Hence, Mummy immediately call up and sign me for the free trial class. It falls on a Sunday morn.. so after this trial class, we got to rush for my another Takaewondo class. That day is indeed a busy morn for us as after my Takaewondo class, we were meeting Mummy's friends for lunch.

This is a back dated post...

Last year Dec, we've been to Vernice's place and impressed by her stuff all properly organised in her room. Hence, my parents' resolution for this year is to create shelving for me to keep my toys/books neatly.

So we make a trip to Ikea.. (also during the time Mummy starting to feel sick before hit by serious pneumonia). A happy and fruitful trip as we bought many stuff on that day!!!

Prata - My Favourite!!

As Mummy is sorting out my photos, she realised there are many pics that she yet to post... so she hoping to back post those before posting our pretty pics taken on our latest trip.

Oops.. above pic taken at Ah Mei prata shop at our Sun Plaza somewhere on a weekend last month.. Just to let you all know prata is one of my favourite food.. I'm indeed Daddy's girl coz prata is also one of Daddy's favourite food. I also love to dip my prata in some yummy fish curry too.

Pneumonia.. shoo go away!!!

Pneumonia...
a terrible experience that we've gone through

A Bad year for us to begin with..
Coz we all fell sick including lil Hebe having her 1st cough

Daddy has been coughing since early Dec last year ..
Next, I am down with running nose, cough & been to 2 different GPs for medications. Mummy is the 3rd to fall sick recently on 1st Jan, has ore thraot and bad flu.. Last to befall is poor lil Hebe who got her 1st cough on 6 Jan.

Mummy went to see doc with Daddy on 4 Jan evening ...
Next day, she was having fever from afternoon onwards and throughout the next 5 days. The fever comes and go.. leaving her weaker as days pass by. Daddy brought her back to consult the same GP for 2 more visits.. on her 3rd visit (9 Jan), the GP suspected that Mummy may has some chest infection and advised Daddy to send her to hospital for immediate treatment.

They went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Mummy still running high fever (39.9 degree) & finally diagnoised that she is down with Pneumonia & need to be admitted immediately for treatment. On the very same night, Daddy also brought both me and Hebe to KK hospital for a thorough check up as we are still having cough. Luckily, we three of us including Daddy is fine, just need to be on medication to recover from our cough.

Mummy is finally discharged from hospital yesterday (14 Jan), a 6 day hospital stay. The reason she caught this virus is that her body is weaker than us as she just delivered Hebe. At the moment, Doc advised her to avoid crowded places.

During her sickness, she do not have sufficient milk to express as she was too weak. Moreover, during her hospital stay she can only express the bm and dump away due to the strong medication. Luckily, freezer has over 50 packs of bm for Hebe during this period. However, she is a good drinker and has used up nearly all ... now we wonder how Mummy can replenish the stock since next wed we are going away for our holidays!

Shooo Shoo...the terrible pneumonia..
pls dun come back to us or Mummy again!!!

The cake turns out soft and has fine crumbs, nice to bite in especially with the nice aroma of swift of Honey ! Hmm.. I like the taste & texture and keep asking for MORE!!!

We, the Tan Family like to wish the readers of my blog..
A very Merry X'mas & Happy New Year!

Presenting the Gingerbread cookies that represents us, the Tan Family!

As X'mas is approaching, everyone is busy with christmas shopping or xmas baking for their loved ones & friends. However, our parents are too busy & hardly have time to shop for gifts this year. We also do not have the mood to set up our huge family xmas tree. My parents are too preoccupied with the frequent incidents that I've been facing in school & busy searching for new one, hoping the new environment will suit me fine.

Moreover, with our new member, Hebe, who is still very young, constantly needs hugs and attention from us.

Despite all this, Mummy tried to create some x'mas atmosphere to our family by involving me to do some handmade xmas cards & simple baking. Last week, we experiment a new recipe given by our neighbour last year, to do some gingerbread cookies for our loved ones. It is a success.. Yum Yummy!!

Mummy as the main chef.. she made the dough in that afternoon & chilled it for our use in the evening.

I'm her assistant chef, assisting to cut out the shapes and do simple decorating on them.

Here the freshly baked gingerbread cookies.. see the black dots on some cookies? That are those I help to decorate.

we enjoy this whole baking process as it is a activity involving the whole family... we will wait till Hebe is older to join our baking session.

Looks forward to my new school

After frequent incidents that keep happening on me in school (especially on the last incident that we've posted), my parents had finally made the final decision & withdrawn me from my current school (after one more incident - finger scratch mark on my left cheek that occured last Wed, 16 Dec).

I will be with the school till 29 dec & starting in another new school on 4th Jan. This new school is different from this current cc, it is a kindergarten consists of daily 3.5 hours learning program. So Mama's daily task is to bring me to this school and fetch me home. I will also be having school holidays during June/Dec. We hope that the shorter time I be spending in this new school, will help to reduce the conflicts I may have with other new classmates. Moreover, the class is much smaller.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that I will adapt well in this new school and the new classmates will be nicer to me. So at this moment, we will not disclose the name of the new school I will be going.

P/S: Last Wed 16 Dec, I came back with a scratch mark on my left cheek & the teachers in my current school knows nothing of how it occurred. Mummy suspected that this is caused by fingernail of someone as the scratch mark is quite deep on my pretty face.

This evening (23 Dec), my mummy is totally outraged when she saw a red 2 inches long scratch mark on my right hand. Somehow, the teacher even indicated there is no visual mark when I left the school on my communication notebook. This time, I told my mummy & mama that I was scratched by a boy classmate during the playtime. My Mummy immediately called up the school and they do not know how it was happened. This proves that my parents' decision to withdraw me from this school is RIGHT! The teachers there definitely do not keep a tight rein over the kids there. Mummy feels that since I can relate to them so well, I must somehow have informed the teacher(s) there once this happened. This is strange why they are not taking action over such incident or bo chup attitude. Look at below pic / evidence that Mummy has took!

Christmas Lightning along Orchard Road

Last Saturday...
Daddy decided to drive us out to eat yummy frog porridge at Geylang..
We did ask Mama & Gong Gong to join us but they are both sick, down with cough.. & only Ah Ma came along with us. After the hearty dinner, Daddy agreed to bring us to Orchard road to see the xmas lighting and let Mummy had the chance of window shopping. We parked our car at Ion Mall and the mall was so packed with crowds of shoppers. I was also busy roaming around and my parents have a hard time holding onto me..

Bite Mark!

Hello!!
Sharing the bite mark that I've got bitten by my new classmate (girl) on last Tues.

When my mummy & Hebe fetched me from school bus in the evening, they are shocked to see such an ugly red mark caused by my new classmate / in my new transfer class.

Why new classmate(s) & new class??
Coz the week before this incident happened, I was kena pinched on right upper arm by this girl classmate, Megan, in my former class. There is a dark blue black bruises resulted from the pinch. My parents have brought this up to the principle and teacher in charge during the meet teacher session on 5 Dec. This is not the 1st incident that occured to me. I was also kena scratched by another girl's fingernails just about 2 months ago. Along the way since I've enrolled, I been scratched occassionally (once even by the care giver teacher who assisted to shower me, on my face). Some of the incidents & Mummy has already hightlighted to the teacher on such cases & most of the time, they just accept it as part of the growing as it is unavoidable when playing with other 'rough' kids in my class.

However, the bite mark is the last straw that my Mummy can take it! Teachers are saying that I was snatching toy from this girl, provoked her causing her to bite me. However, since there are 2 teachers who witness the whole incident. They should interfered & stop me from snatching the toy.. to prevent such ugly incident happened. Everytime, my parents hear the same thing from the teachers / principle and saying such cases is small matter.

Often, we wonder if the situation is reversed & if I'm the one who bit or pinched the others. Will the parents of the victim comes to us & cause a scene?? As of now, my parents yet to approach the parents of that classmate. My parents always taught me to be kind and nice to other kids. Must not involved in fighting with other kids. Yet this is what we got in return especially facing such mischievious kids. Though violent is not suggested here, I must learn to protect myself when facing to such kids.

My parents now looking for courses for me to learn the art of self defense as well for my well-being as form exercise.
If you are in my parents' shoes now, will you :
A) withdraw your child immediately from this school? OR
B) continue in this school ??

P/S: Edited post - agreed that violent is not the way to handle such situation.. and those kids are not really at fault. Parents and teachers should play an important role in disciplining the kids to avoid such situation.

Upon waking up each morning, I will walk over to Pooh room to look for my lil sister who will be slowly waking from her beauty sleep. Her smiles and yawn brighten up my morning. I would stay on to watch my sis having her bath before I left to take my school bus.

I'm such a good sister, will help my mummy to pick the clothes Or getting the required stuff (diapers / clothes) for Hebe. Sometimes, I help to feed her too by holding her milk bottle.

My face would light up whenever Mummy bring mei mei to wait for my return each evening. I would give her a big hug and kiss.

Presenting our new car, NISSAN Latio Premium

This is going to be our family car ..
It is a weekend car but it is already good enough as we can explore ulu places or farm visiting. Looking forward to more of our field trip & picnic outing (if weather permit).

We will call it our 'Pooh Car' coz soon we are going to deco the interior with lots of Poohsss decorative items that our parents have ordered but stock will be arriving next year.

* Daddy & Mummy's 1st car is Volkwagon Beetle which they had it for 2 years during their stay in France. Though this is not as 'cute' as their former Beetle, it will serve as a good family car with ample space for passengers seated in the back. This is also their 1st car they owned in Singapore.

Strawberry Shortcake Theme Party!

For the past 2 months, I been asking my parents to buy me a Strawberry Shortcake cake for my upcoming 3 years old birthday. This year, my parents will planned to let me have a simple birthday celebration in school. However, the school closed on my birthay, 26 Nov. So we brought forward my celebration to tomorrow afternoon instead.

My parents have ordered a 1kg cake in my favourite Strawberry Shortcake character. On top of that, Mummy & Mama has prepare the goodie bags for my friends.

My dear Mummy, Mama together with lil Hebe will be at my school tomorrow, to witness my celebration. I'm so looking forwards to the event tomorrow.

Strawberry Yogurt Chiffon Cake

Below is the yogurt cake that Mummy has baked on last Sunday afternoon with my help. I keep telling Mummy that I like to have strawberry cake.. so an idea struck her!

We use the receipe from this link, & modify some of the ingredients. We had the cake for our breakfast yesterday. The whole cake is gone by yesterday afternoon.

Ingredients: (18cm round tin)
* This time, we used an round tin instead chiffon tube tin.

3 egg yolks
20g sugar
30 ml corn oil
80g strawberry flavoured yogurt (we used emmi brand)
90g cake flour
1/2 tsp strawberry esssence paste

4 egg whites
40g sugar
1/4 tsp cream tartar

Method:
1. Cream egg yolks and sugar till creamy.
2. Add in the oil, strawberry paste and yogurt, mix till well-combined.
3. Sieve in the flour and mix till batter is lump-free.
4. Beat egg white with electric beater until big bubbles formed. Sprinkle in cream of tartar and beat until it is white in colour. Add in sugar 3 times (a little at a time) and beat until stiff perks formed. About 7 minutes for 150w egg beater.
5. Pour 1/2 egg white into flour mixture in (3) and blend well.
6. Pour flour mixture into the rest of the egg white and fold till just blended. 7. Pour batter into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 170 - 180C for 30 - 40 minutes or until cooked.
8. Invert the cooked cake during cooling process.

You may try baking the cake.. it taste light and yummy like the texture of japanese cheese cake we bought from Ichiban. Happy Trying!

Although Mummy has been busy looking after the lil H in the daytime..
She is super busy taking care of our needs in the evening when I back from school, on top of that trying to cope cooking our simple meals for dinner.

She been craving to do her favourite baking .. forsaking her pm nap to try out some new receipes. Been searching for easy to bake receipes for light sponge cakes

This is her 2nd attempt.. it is a 50% success coz the cake rises very high and well. However, the bottom of the cake has uncooked lumps of flour. The upper part of the cake tastes nice.. light and nice aroma of honey. Hope the 3rd attempt she try again the next time, will be a PERFECT!

Hello Kitty Trolley Bag

This is the Hello Kitty red trolley bag that Mummy has got it 2 months ago. Yesterday is her 1st time using it do her marketing at our nearby NTUC.. with me in the sling together with Mama. End up she seems to buy a fair bit of grocery.. the bag itself is not sturdy enough to carry the weight and diffcult to handle.

When we got home, Mummy noticed there is a small tear on the bottom right of the bag. Oh my!!! Mummy is so heart pain over the tear .... sob sob!!!

** a late evening while Mummy trying her utmost to tuck me to bed, I was busy tossing here and there, jumping on the bed, nearly drove her 'mad' with anger.

Then, Daddy returned home from work & walked into our room, to 'rescue' poor Mummy. Below is the conversation taken place.

Daddy : Darling, be good .. time to sleep
Hayley : I'm not tired..
Daddy: Good girl.. come Daddy tuck u to bed
Hayley paused and quieten .. deep in thought
Hayley : Daddy, u eat dinner yet?
Daddy : Not yet..
Hayley : Daddy, go and eat dinner. I sleep by myself.
Daddy: Really?
Hayley nodded ..

Soon after Daddy left the room, leaving Mummy and me in the room.. I quickly dozed off within 10 min and all by myself. Bravo!! I'm indeed a good girl, letting my hungry & tired Daddy had his dinner in peace. This is something that Daddy like to blog to remind me the next time.

Usually every morning I wake up...
Mei Mei will be up as well, having her beauty bath prepared by Aunty.
After drinking my milk, brushing teeth and clean face, changing into my uniform. I will walk over to cuddle mei mei and kiss her.

3 cheers to arrival of Princess Hebe, my Baby Sister sibling!

I was staying at Mama's place from Monday evening onwards as my parents need to reach hospital (Thomson Medical Centre) the next morn by 7am. I will be there till Friday till my beloved Mummy discharged on that day.

This time, our parents opted for cesarean since Mummy's gynae also advised this will be an better and safer option. Initally, the operation should start at 9.30am but it was delayed as there is a star table tennis who is delivering via c-section just before Mummy's, causing some commotion.

When baby finally makes her 1st appearance, the mystery finally resolved and it is a GIRL. Just as I expected .. coz during last few days while shopping with Mummy, I keep choosing baby girl clothings to show Mummy, to buy for mei mei. Aren't I clever?

We are expecting she will be 2.6kg per Mummy's last check up at gynae's. However, Baby Hebe's weight is slightly lighter than mine at birth. Looks like Mummy's max capacity is meant to have petite baby afterall.

Alright, below is details for all you stats-geeks..
Baby Hebe weighed a petite 2.475 kg at birth, with a head circumference of 32cm and length of 46 cm. Slightly smaller than her Hayley jie jie at 2.49kg, 33cm and 47cm respectively.

At first sight during her 1st day of arrival, Mama & Gong Gong brought me to visit her and Mummy, I already fell in love with her. Can't wait to cuddle and hug her when she is back home this friday.

Our Quality Time

Today is my last weekend, spending quality time with my parents.
Coz I will cease to be the only child in our family due to upcoming arrival of Baby H this coming week. My parents keep assuring me that I will always be the APPLE of their eyes & Baby H will love me as much as they do.

Actually, today I did behaved well.. lending hands to help my parents to do final spring cleaning during the morn and afternoon.. Tugging bags of stuff into guest room, to tidy up my Pooh room as BB H & the confinement lady will be shifting there to sleep.

To reward me for the help I assist, they brought me out to shop & have dinner at Ichiban, located at AMK hub. My doting daddy even order a special kid meal for me.. so much variety and I did not managed to finish all the food. I ate a bowl of udon, a bowl of chuwanmushi, a sushi and a bottle of yakult. Hee!

Hayley the Chef. making Green Tea Cake

Last evening, I've fun baking cake with Mummy & helping her to test out her new mixer she bought. We baked Green Tea Chiffon cake this time.. our very 1st attempt. Hmm.. the taste of the cake is yummy too.. hee!

Happy Mid Autumn Festival

Despite rainy downpour since afternoon till evening, we still managed to enjoy ourselves with company of Godma Flo, Mama, Jiu Jiu at our place for dinner / mini mooncake feasting.

We ended the night by going downstair, playing lantern and sparkles!

Kenwood Patissier Mixer

This is Mummy's new love that she got it today with Daddy's help.
She been eyeing to get a good mixer for her baking hobby but a good mixer & brand like Kenwood can cost easily like $400 - $900 plus.

Model like below costs $688 retail price & she managed to purchase it from a seller who had it for nearly a year, at a very good resale price. The mixer is still in tip top condition.. Thanks to seller! Now Mommy looks forward to experiment it with new receipes.

Mummy woke me very early this morn..
As Daddy drove us to Airport to send my dear Godma & my godbrothers who are going back to Australia. We are going to miss them very much.. as we are not sure when they will back again soon.

Hello Kitty Loots again

Poor Daddy is down with fever since yesterday pm....
We brought him to see Dr Lee this morning & doc advised us that Daddy may caught my fever virus last week. Better keep me away from him.. just in case I caught back this virus again.

So after Mummy & I did the marketing & taken our breakfast, Mummy cooked Daddy a simple lunch. Off we went to Mama's place for lunch and stayed with me till 3pm.. She went home to cook Daddy some green bean soup for cooling his body. Then she rushed off to Kaikai around 4pm on her own to collect her reserved loots. Hee... a last min decision indeed for some retail therapy!

Celebrating Mummy Birthday

My dearest Mummy's Birthday!
(I woke my Mummy's by singing her Birthday song .. truly warmed her heart in the morn)

Both my parents are on leave, bringing me out to have lunch celebration with Mama together. Mummy has a craving for spicy Thai food, so we went to Yishun, Thai Express for yummy lunch.

After our yummy lunch, we went to library a while..
Then we went to choose a small cake for Mummy. I keep insisting to choose a Mickey Mouse 'cake' but in the end, Mummy choose strawberry cheesecake from Bengawansolo.

Actually, my parents supposed to bring me to another venue, to meet my godma(s). However, noti me getting tired and keep wanting to go back with Mama, to rest at our home. So my parents set off to City Hall while I and Mama headed home.

Whenever I made my parents angry...

When I said the above magic words, it soften their hearts & relent to scold me harshly. They wonder where I learnt that from. Hee

I learnt to talk a lot and reason with them.
One of my fav question is starting off with 'Why'..
& another of my fav question is "What is Papa / Mama saying?" when I don't understand their adult conversation.

I can be a sweetie, helping my Mummy doing my share of chore since her tummy getting bigger and diffculty in walking esp evening time. For instance, I will help her throw my dirty clothes into the laundry basket, putting away my bowl/cup in the sink when finish eating/drinking.

For instance, yesterday when we were at Daiso. I helped my Mummy to carry the shopping basket and look for a trolley when items getting more. Help to push the trolley, follow my dear mummy around when she did her shopping. I am such a good helper to her. Though there is time I whined a lot too, clinging for her attention whenever I dun feel good or tired. My parents still dote me a lot and found that I've grown a lot. Of course, I'm a BIG Girl now.. going to be a Jie Jie in 2 month time.

Marble Chiffon Cake

Last Fri evening..
After tucking me to bed, Mummy set off doing a chiffon cake per Ah Ma's request for next day noon for praying. She is very ambitious and like to try out Marble Chiffon Cake.

By the time she finish baking the cake, it was already past midnight...

End up having a very bad backache as she stood too long, mixing the choco paste and beating the egg whites.

As it was too late, Daddy was too tired to take a nice shot of the cake.
Here showing few pic of Mummy's masterpiece, using her handphone camera taken at ah ma place.

As Mummy is unables to mix well of the choco paste, hence you can see lumpy choc found in the cake. Overall, still got the marble effect... will solve that problem next round! Other than that, the cake tastes soft and yummy!!

P/S: Earlier on in the afternoon, Mummy also baked another Orange Chiffon cake for Mama/GongGong & Jiu Jiu to sample, hope they will like it too.

Orange Chiffon Cake

Mummy suddenly has a craving since yesterday...
Been craving for a taste of yummy fluffy Orange Chiffon Cake

Today late morn, we went to Begawan Solo & she intended to buy the cake from there. However, the staff told her that she need to preorder, collection in next 3 working days. So Mummy search her fav baking blog and chanced upon this recipe, decided to give it a try this evening.

Mummy had a great success with this receipe but with some modified measurement as the cake tin she has is small, about 14cm. We enjoy the cake a lot, now only left half of it. I love the cake too as it is soft & fluffy.

Mummy New Nokia E71 Phone

Mummy finally bought a new Nokia phone (E71) on 8 Aug.
** to replace her old faulty one as it is time for her to upgrade her plan.

Yesterday, she spotted this Hello Kitty deco crystal sticker at Kaikai. She purchased it to deco on the back of her new phone. Doesn't the new look of her phone is so sweet & adorable now?

Hello Kitty Shopping again!

21 Aug 09...
Mummy woke up super early at 5.45am as she need to reach Suntec by 8am for her company quarterly talk. She even managed to visit Mcdonald for a quick breakfast before the talk started.

The long talk ended around noon..
With her boss's granted approval, no need for her to go back to office.
So Mummy was in a happy mood, rushing off to meet Godma Flo @ Chinatown Point for half day shopping trip, to run some errand. She went to Kai Kai shop to collect her reserved item (a Kitty diecut pinboard). After that, they went to nearby hawker for yummy prawn mee and 'wu xing'. ^_^

Recently for past 1 week, she is 'revamping' her workplace into a pretty cheerful place to work in, by decorating with Hello Kitty stuff. She just purchased a HK mirror & a cushion from a friend. The new purchase (pinboard) will be hanging around her workplace too. She is looking for a small HK stationery holder as well.

Next, they went to Ion mall to explore .. indeed a big shopping mall.
Then lastly, to Isetan Scotts where Mummy spent a bomb on Jap health food stuff & again some retail therapy on Hello Kitty!!

Isetan Sanrio still got the latest lucky draw - Mummy decided to try her luck since she has not been playing it and hope to win the mini sofa seat for me. So she tried 4 rounds .. unfortunately, she got the small prizes only and Godma Flo tried 3 round for her.. think the best prize is the pretty diecut HK mirror she has won for Mummy! Thank you!

Isetan Scotts : HK iron on patch ($5.95), 2 HK shoes charms for CROCS shoes ($4.95 each, 1 with apple kitty for me, the other for Mummy) and 2 small roller stamps ($3.95 ) for me to deco DIY card the next time!

I love Puzzles

Lately I develope new love for doing Puzzles!
My parents bought me some more puzzles (12 pcs) from Daiso and I've no problem piecing up all the pieces together. I can even do up my tall Giraffe puzzle (3o pcs) as well as the Pooh bear puzzles (given by Godma Flo) all BY MYSELF within short time frame!!!

Horray!!! Hope this can train my memory and patience as well!

EcHouse Haircut

Last Saturday.. been raining whole day since afternoon till evening.
My parents brought me to SSC for Subway dinner and light shopping at Daiso.
After that, Daddy needed a good hair trim and decided to pop over at EcHouse at 2nd level before we headed home. Since my frindge is getting long, Mummy coaxed me to have a hair trim as well together with Daddy.

Luckily, that time is about 8.45pm and there are no other customers besides me & Daddy. So I was seated there quietly with a sweet given by the stylist, while enjoying my haircut. Sharing a snapshot below taken by Mummy. Can you see my Daddy sitting on my right corner?? Hee.. my haircut is quite worth .. at $10 this time.

Hello Kitty Therapy

Oh no... Mummy has been having problem loading pics onto my blog since last Sat evening. Luckily, now she can upload pics fm her office PC now... But when she at our home, keep having problem and there is this error msg saying got server problem. Does anyone encounter this problem as well???

Anyway, sharing with you the loots she got on last Sat after the hospital visit to see Godma San. She went to Toa Payoh with Godma Flo.. found this small shop around the interchange, selling many cute Kitty stuff. The shop is packed with many ppls and mostly HK fans...

Mummy went ahead with her retail therapy and got her a USB Fan (to display on her office desk), a cute weighing scale for us since our old one spoilt and a laundry bag (to keep my toys and acts as my bb sibling's laundry basket)

Mummy's Baking Competition

Last Friday (14 Aug'09), my mummy joined her company team for a baking competition in the afternoon. The team consisted of 6 members, to pit against their baking skills against another 8 group of competitors (internal dept). The task on that day is to decorate 6 chocolate cakes by having a consistant creative look fm each team.

In order to save time, the center (Prima BITC) has already pre-baked the cakes. The team has to melt the chocolate and prepare the whipping cream with instruction given, to decorate the cake within few hours.

Arrival of lil Jarien!

Lil Jarien has arrives on 14th Aug '09..
Though Godma San's tummy does not look big, he weighs at 3.27kg..
And he looks exactly like Jerral's.
We know that he is going to be another handsome prince with Godma San's huge eyes & Godpapa's good look. Once again, congrats to Yap family for the additional young members.

We looks forwards to visit them soon!! :)

My 1st Stayover at Godma Flo's place

It happened on 9 Aug, National Day...
When Godma Flo came by that afternoon to pay us a visit with yummy duck rice/lunch for us. It is around 4pm when Godma told us that she need to leave. Mummy started off with an casual remark, asking me if I want to go home with Godma Flo tonight.

What startled them next is that I am actually considering it and then agreeing to this arrangement. Mummy still thinking that I am playing a joke on them till I start to pack my diapers, chose my clothes (2 sets) on my own, my smelly pillow & stuff into my backpack. I even packed 2 small Pooh books to read. Mummy started to be in shock as she assisted me to pack my water bottle and milk powder. Then, my parents sent me off at downstairs.. with me holding my dear Godma's hand, crossing the road to head towards mrt station.

Suddenly dawned on them, that I seemed to grown up a lot & this tug strongly at my mummy's heart somehow and which is diffcult to explain the feeling. Guess what, my godma managed to pull through the night without me crying to go home like everytime I did when I was at Mama's place.

I slept at 10.20pm and woke up the next day at about 9am. Not bad for my 1st stayover... Accordingly to my Godma, I behaved well with not much fussing [Phew]. My parents waiting for us around 11.30am at Bishan bus stop the next day to fetch me and have yummy lunch together with Godma.

Huat Kuih

Making of Huat Kuih for the very 1st attempt on National Morn!

Mummy was busy this whole morn, to prepare the huat kuih mixture from this receipe. Hoping to achieve the same yummy result!

Instead of using the durian puree and plain flour, Mummy used sweet potato puree and self rising flour for her kuihs.

Remarks: the mini ones does not bloom as much as it should be as Mummy did not fill the mixture to the brim of the cups. Maybe next time will do that, for it to bloom nicely.

The overalll taste still need some improving. Afterall, it is Mummy's 1st attempt. I'm indeed very supportive of my dear Mummy's work, eating one whole mini all by myself which made Mummy beamed with smiles!!!!

Today is a fun day at our place..
a post-welcome back gathering for Godma San and lil Jerral

We been postponing our gathering as the other time I'm down with high fever. Today, we've invited Godma San & Jerral, Godma Flo and Andy Kor Kor over our place for a simple lunch.

Mummy decided to brave cooking since the morning she woke up at 9am. She has bought all the ingredients the day before, to prepare simple lunch for everyone. It has been a long time since she has her friends over our place. I actually woke up this morning around 9 plus but lazing on the bed till 10.30am, then I decided to wake up for milk.

She cooked stir fry mee hoon, baked chicken wings using her special marinate sauce she created and preparing kiddo porridge lunch. All food is ready by 11.00am, she was famished and sweaty. Finally sat down with us for a late breakfast at 11.15am .. hee .. just then Godma Flo arrived, followed by Godma San and lil Jerral and lastly Andy Kor Kor.

* Godma Flo even bought us some yummy Indonesian kuehs for our dessert.

Above is the Get Well Card that Jerral has made it especially for me, of course with Godma San's help. I love it a lot as it got my fav Pooh n friends stickers !!!

Guess in just 2 weeks time, I will be visiting Godma San to see their new additional member, Jarien. We are sure that Jarien is going to be a handsome boy just like his brother, Jerral.
